Psychosocial safety & sexual harassment prevention for FIFO and high-risk workplaces
Trusted by mining, resources, and high-risk organisations across Western Australia to deliver evidence-based training that prevents harm, strengthens culture, and meets your Positive Duty obligations under the Respect@Work Act 2022.
WHAT WE DO
Preventing harm. Building culture. Driving change.
We Are Consulting works with organisations across Western Australia to prevent sexual harassment, address psychosocial hazards, and build respectful, accountable workplace cultures - particularly in FIFO, mining, resources, and male-dominated industries.
We deliver practical psychosocial safety training and sexual harassment prevention workshops that help organisations meet their obligations under the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (WA), the Respect@Work Act 2022, and Positive Duty requirements.
Practical, half-day sessions designed to create immediate impact and build momentum across your team.
Engaging, high-impact sessions for conferences and leadership events that spark real conversation
Programs designed for complex environments - tailored to your structure, culture, and risk profile.
WHY WE ARE DIFFERENT
Not just training - real-world expertise in behaviour and culture change.
Most workplace training doesn't change behaviour. It ticks a box. We built We Are Consulting because organisations in high-risk industries deserve better than a compliance module that nobody remembers by Monday.
Our work is grounded in years of delivering large-scale consent and healthy relationships education across Western Australia - now applied directly to workplace environments. We understand that preventing sexual harassment and building psychosocial safety requires addressing culture, leadership, and everyday behaviour. Not just policies.

Organisations we've worked with
We have delivered sexual harassment prevention and respectful workplace training to mining companies, hospitality groups, universities, and government agencies across Western Australia and nationally.
“We had struggled to find training that resonated with our onsite crew - until we partnered with the girls. The sessions were relevant, on-site, and delivered in a way that genuinely connected with our crew. The language, scenarios, and examples reflected real situations our people face. We saw immediate improvements in reporting confidence, bystander action, and team communication.”
HSE Lead, FIFO Site
Kate and Nic covered consent, S.A & S.H, the importance of education around these topics in the industry and left the room thinking a little differently about the change they’d like to make in their workplaces. Their style of facilitation was wonderful, personable, authentic and interactive. I would 10/10 recommend getting them involved in facilitating workshops/keynotes/ presentations on these topics! They were amazing!
EAP Executive Director
“I cannot recommend We Are Consulting highly enough. The training was fun, engaging, and deeply impactful. Our staff said it was the first time anyone had spoken about consent, boundaries, and culture in a way that felt real and non-judgemental. This work has genuinely shifted the way our sites operate. What sets Nic and Kate apart is their ability to blend evidence, trauma-informed practice, and deeply human facilitation. Our crew felt safe, heard, and empowered.”

We Are Kate Raston and Nicolette Beard - health promotion specialists, award-winning educators, and the co-founders of We Are Consulting.
We are Perth-based workplace culture consultants specialising in sexual harassment prevention, psychosocial safety, and respectful workplace training for FIFO and high-risk industries. With over 18 years of combined experience and programs delivered to more than 30,000 people across Australia, we bring a depth of behaviour change expertise that most workplace trainers simply don't have.
As co-founders of one of Western Australia's largest consent and healthy relationships education providers, we have led large-scale culture change programs across schools, communities, and corporate environments - work recognised at the highest national level, including the 2026 Young West Australian of the Year Finalist and 2025 Young West Australian of the Year.
We now apply that expertise where it's needed most: organisations in mining, resources, construction, hospitality, and high-risk industries that are navigating their Positive Duty obligations and want to build cultures that are genuinely safer - not just compliant on paper.

We built We Are because we kept seeing the same thing: organisations that genuinely wanted to do better, but were being handed tick-box training that changed nothing.
Real culture change doesn't come from a policy update or a one-hour compliance module. It comes from honest conversations, practical tools, and education that actually resonates with the people in the room.
Our work is grounded in:
Evidence-based practice and current research
Trauma-informed delivery that meets people where they are
Prevention-focused approaches that address root causes, not just symptoms
Authentic engagement that works in complex, high-risk environments
Leadership accountability as the foundation for lasting change
A commitment to culture that goes beyond compliance
We're not here to shame, blame, or lecture. We're here to give your people the understanding and skills to do better - and to give your organisation the tools to make that stick.
OUR COMMITMENT
We believe cultural change happens through partnership - not criticism.
Our commitment is to help organisations evolve, not just comply.
We commit to:
Framing inclusion as a shared goal - engaging men as allies, not opponents.
Promoting cultural evolution rather than blame.
Aligning every initiative with prevention, compliance, and reputation protection.
By bringing authenticity, expertise, and humanity to every conversation, we help workplaces become safer, stronger, and more sustainable for everyone.
